Instead on Aug 6, we’ll be visiting the Afro American Historical Association of Fauquier County Va. which is located at 4243 Loudoun Ave. The Plains VA 20198. In addition to exhibits depicting our journey from Africa to the present day, the museum contains a library of books for, by and about people of African descent as well as a genealogical resource center. Although the focus is on Fauquier County, info is available about the surrounding counties. The trip is approximately 200 miles round trip from Baltimore City. We’ll carpool, stop for breakfast in Manassas VA, travel an additional 20 miles to the museum and then visit the Manassas African American Heritage Festival. For additional info, contact D. Hollie @ 410-358-9875 or at DTH1800@aol.com.
